(Currently not accepting quilt tops at this time!)
Sharon Hughes
As a professional longarm quilter, I complete clients pieced quilt tops into lovely works of art by stitching the three layers together with a decorative design.
My studio recently relocated to the beautiful community of  Post Falls, Idaho.  It was formerly located in Soldotna and in Sitka, Alaska. I still provide quilting services to my clients from all over Alaska as well as the lower 48 states.
Bed quilts are my specialty.  I try very hard to keep the turnaround time at a minimum.
Sewing has always been a natural activity for me ever since I received my first toy sewing machine when I was 6 years old.  I love everything that involves the use of needle and thread, so longarm quilting just fits my fancy.
I began my machine quilting career in January of 2000.  Since that time I’ve had the opportunity to work with many wonderful quilters, bringing their quilt tops to life.
About my studio:
My studio is located in my home that is a clean, non smoking and pet free environment.  I work by appointment only, so please call or email for the best time to discuss your quilt.  If you are mailing your quilt, be sure to let me know ahead of time so I can confirm it has arrived.   Once I have received your quilt I will contact you and we can then discuss your quilting options.
I have a Gammill quilting machine with the Statler Stitcher computerized software.

SH AH Cropped

Future longarm quilter in training, my beautiful granddaughter Anna.

This allows me to do some beautiful intricate designs.  I also have the ability to guide my machine freehand for doing certain types of custom quilting.

Each quilt is unique and deserves its own special attention.  Therefore a great deal of time is devoted to the planning and preparation before the quilting process begins.
